Policy Research and Dissemination
HPRD provide comprehensive research services in Somalia and beyond in support of various programming as detailed in list of similar work in Table 1. HPRD has also undertaken action policy research in the area of public policy, analyzing the feasibility and effectiveness of project and policy initiatives while proposing evidence-based recommendations. These include landscape analysis, context analysis, market research, social-impact assessments, and policy research among others. Some research services include research design frameworks, data collection, literature reviews and literature quality assessments, qualitative analysis, descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, monitoring and evaluation, (live) data visualization, reporting and policy analysis (generating actionable insights). Our past experiences and expertise extends to both qualitative and quantitative research methods, ensuring that we can tailor our approach to meet the specific needs of each project.
In particular, and as illustrated in Table 1 above, we have vast experience conceptualization and design of study including landscape analysis and context research used to understand programming and opportunities to leverage the intended activities to refine the project interventions if any. Additionally, as part of the landscape analysis we have experience in facilitating and conducting strategic consultations with key stakeholders to introduce project, generate buy-in, support, ownership and co-creation of project interventions with beneficiaries.
Further HPRD has extensive experience in piloting interventions that have been documented to work during landscape analysis using a human centered Design (HCD) research approach. The human centered design puts real people at the center of the development process, enabling one to create a tailored approach and scale up products and services that resonate to the needs of the community.
Importantly, provides policy drafting and evidence synthesis insights including preparing research uptake briefs and publishing research/policy articles as part of policy and communities of practice disseminations.
