Jane is an accomplished Social and Child Protection specialist, with more than 20 years of experience in the child protection sector and 17 years in social protection, Jane has honed her expertise in various aspects, including project design, development, implementation, and review of social protection initiatives. She has played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the Kenya Cash Transfer program, overseeing its transformation from a pilot initiative to a fully-fledged program. Jane has also been instrumental in the development of crucial documents utilized in the implementation of the program. Furthermore, as a social protection specialist, Jane was actively involved in the technical team responsible for designing the Social Workforce Curriculum and the Child Protection Curriculum in Kenya, contributing to their rollout and subsequent review. Jane's contributions extend beyond national initiatives, as she has represented Kenya as part of the delegation that negotiated Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLI) with the World Bank for the NICHE program. She has also played a role in the development of various essential documents, including the Operations Manual for the Consolidated Cash Transfer Program, the Enhanced Single Registry, and the NICHE program. Additionally, Jane has been involved in the development of the Economic Inclusion Program and the Universal Child Grant programs. Her expertise and knowledge have been recognized on an international level, as she is a member of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) on social protection. With her extensive experience and diverse contributions to social and child protection in Kenya, Jane brings valuable insights and leadership to her role as a senior management director within the government.
