Strengthening local governance structures for more accountable and inclusive Federal Member States in support of the Wadajir National Framework – Phase II

Strengthening gender & youth inclusive governance in targeted Somali districts, fostering legitimacy & social reconciliation awareness. This project was undertaken with an aim to capture lessons learned from previous projects, providing information on its nature, extent, potential impact, and sustainability. It involved analyzing lessons, challenges, and best practices that would guide future programming strategies in alignment with the government of Somalia and donor priorities. The evaluation focused on districts including Galkayo, Barawe, Adado, Jowhar, Dinsoor, Afmadow, Buuloburte in Somalia.

The core objective was to strengthen gender and youth inclusive governance and administration in the targeted districts of Somalia. The activities were intended to achieve increased legitimacy and awareness on social reconciliation by strengthening gender and youth inclusive governance.
