Training and capacity development (BDS) of aquaculture and mariculture value chain actors and SMEs in Kenya, including linkages with financial institutions and credit facilities in Northern (ASALs Counties), Coastal and Western Kenya
The training, informed by tailored training curriculum modules and resourced developed, involved fish farmers, processors, traders, and service providers, and covered topics such as fish production, processing, quality assurance, marketing, and value addition. The training also facilitated access to finance, technology and markets for the participants. The project aimed to improve the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of the aquaculture and mariculture sector, and to contribute to food security and nutrition in the country
